Businessman shot dead in Delhi by his neighbour after argument over talking loudly

A businessman, 31, who got into an argument with his neighbour for speaking
loudly, was shot dead in New Delhi's Bapa Nagar area near Karol Bagh on Saturday.

Police said that an argument broke out  between Mohit Kumar and his neighbour Kamal Chauhan, 32 over talking loudly.

Chouhan, who was allegedly drunk shot Kumar after the heated exchange,
reported The Hindustan Times.

Chouhan has been arrested by the police in Delhi's Narela area on Sunday when he was about to leave for Jharkhand in his car. Chouhan used a country-made piston to allegedly shoot his neighbour Mohit Kumar.

Speaking to the publication, Additional DCP (Central) Amit Sharma said Chauhan and Kumar were not only neighbours but friends.

The houses in the neighbourhood they used to live are connected in a way that
families living there can hear the voice of occupants of an adjacent house.

While they were friends, Chauhan and Kumar often blamed each other's families for speaking too loudly in their house.

Chouhan has reportedly told police officers investigating the case that he
was drunk and has no recollection of what triggered the argument between him and Kumar.
